Em è una make up artist e youtuber di My Pale Skin piuttosto famosa e brava, improvvisamente tre mesi fa, ha deciso di mostrasi senza trucco rivelando il suo problema con l’acne.

Guys, I can’t believe I’m even writing this… So I’ve seen a few comments saying I’m faking my acne and bad skin. 😂🙈 I’m obviously in the wrong industry working behind a desk and should be flogging my SFX skills instead. 😂 Here’s the thing – I’m seeing so many terrible misconceptions about acne and bad skin in the comments. And Y’know what? some of the skin shaming is damn right appalling – many of these people aught to be ashamed of themselves. 💙💚💛💜 I am not hurt by those who want to call me disgusting, or blame me for their insecurities about women or their laughable trust issues (Go to therapy). However, what bothers me, is that there are young men and women out there who read these comments and then feel bad about themselves, because of your words. I’ve had so many heart breaking PM’s and emails from people who have been bullied because of their skin. Nobody should be made to feel bad because of a disease they live with and in many cases one that is simply genetic. 💙💚💛💜 Acne is a struggle every day, and unless you’ve suffered from it, you have no idea. So cut the crap and if my face offends you, block me. Our society is so used to seeing images of perfection, some people can’t handle the truth. If I hadn’t shown you my ‘before’ face… Would you have even known? Em x 💙💚💛💜 P.S Have you ever photographed your face straight after applying moisturiser? Try it – you’ll look shiny too.

You are beautiful – no matter how flawed you feel, no matter how upset you may about the way you look or how hard you find it to make friends, or be confident. Believe in yourself, and never let anyone tell you’re not beautiful – not even yourself. – Em Ford-
